Festival de Cork (Irlande du Sud) : Plusieurs films amazighs à l’affiche
Des films algériens, dont Mimezrane (fille aux tresses) du réalisateur Ali Mouzaoui, et trois films de Merzak Allouache, seront projetés pour la première fois au festival de Cork, en Irlande du Sud, qui a débuté hier, et se tiendra jusqu’au 21 octobre 2007.
Au total, huit films (longs-métrages) et un documentaire algériens seront projetés lors de cet important rendez-vous cinématographie. La présence de films algériens à Cork est le fruit d’un partenariat noué depuis plusieurs années entre Cork film festival et le Festival mondial du film amazigh que dirige Si El-Hachemi Assad du Haut Conseil à l’Amazighité (HCA).
Des représentants du Festival de Cork ont déjà participé à des rencontres cinématographiques organisées par le Festival mondial du film amazigh à Ghardaïa et Tlemcen.
La présentation d’un panorama spécial Algérie, intitulé Chroniques algériennes est le résultat de la coopération entre le Festival du film amazigh et Cork festival, de plus, huit films (longs métrages) et un documentaire algérien seront projetés à l’occasion de ce festival. L’ouverture a été faite hier, avec le film Indigènes de Rachid Bouchareb, suivi des autres films retenus, à savoir Rachida de Yamina Bachir-Chouikh, Bled number one de Zaïmèche, ainsi que trois films de Merzak Allouache : Omar Gatlato, Bab El Oued city et Salut cousin.
Entre autre, le film Chronique des années de braises de Mohamed-Lakhdar Hamina, Palme d’or au Festival de Cannes en 1975, est également inscrit au programme du festival de Cork. Parmi les dernières productions qui seront présentées à cette manifestation, figure le documentaire du jeune cinéaste Salim Aggar Filming in Algiers (ça tourne à Alger), relatant la situation du cinéma algérien et la décennie noire.
Ce dernier vient d’être sélectionné au Festival du film arabe de San Francisco et au Festival international d’Amiens, prévu le mois de novembre prochain. Le Festival de Cork présentera la dernière œuvre d’Ali Mouzaoui Mimezrane (La fille aux tresses), et cela en avant-première mondiale. Ce film, qui fait connaître la culture orale berbère, a été réalisé dans le cadre de la manifestation “Alger, capitale de la culture arabe 2007″.
Enfin, des conférences et des exposés sur le cinéma algérien seront organisés par Roy Armes, auteur du Dictionnaire sur le cinéma dans le Maghreb, et Merzak Allouache.
